1. Policy of Nondiscrimination

Raj Patel, MD — Virtual Direct Primary Care complies with applicable Federal civil rights laws and Washington State civil rights regulations. This practice does not discriminate against, exclude, or treat individuals differently on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, or sensory, mental, or physical disability.

While this clinical practice is structurally limited to providing internal medicine care to adults aged 18 to 64, all individuals within this demographic are afforded equal access to enrollment and telehealth medical services.

2. Accessibility & Communication Assistance

We are committed to ensuring our virtual health services and digital platforms are accessible to all eligible patients. Free of charge, we provide auxiliary aids and services to facilitate effective communication, including:

  • Telehealth infrastructure compatible with assistive technologies and screen readers.
  • Written information provided in alternative, accessible electronic formats.
  • Coordination of qualified language interpreters or language assistance services for individuals whose primary language is not English.

3. How to File a Grievance

If you believe that this practice has failed to provide these services or discriminated in another way on the basis of a legally protected class, you have the right to file a formal grievance.

You may file a civil rights complaint directly with the state and federal authorities:

  • State Level: The Washington State Human Rights Commission (WSHRC) via their official reporting channels.
  • Federal Level: The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office for Civil Rights (OCR), electronically through the OCR Complaint Portal, or by mail at: U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, 200 Independence Avenue, SW, Room 509F, HHH Building, Washington, D.C. 20201.
